CALDWELL — Idaho Rep. Greg Chaney, R-Caldwell, announced he is running for re-election in 2016.
Chaney was first elected to the Idaho Legislature in District 10B in November 2014.
“In my first term, I did exactly what I said I’d do: defended your rights, cut taxes, promoted transparency, and addressed our transportation needs,” Chaney said in a statement. “I’m running again so that I can promote the opportunities and defend the values that make Idaho the best place to live, work and raise a family.”
Chaney said he plans to attract more high-paying jobs to the state by reducing regulatory and tax burdens. He also wants to focus on education to prepare Idaho’s workforce.
Chaney sits on the Revenue and Taxation, Commerce and Human Resources and Energy, Environment and Technology committees.
